WPC was established in 2003 and develops products based upon transfer of electrical energy and communication without using exposed metal. These types of products are particularly suitable for areas where metallic contacts reduce reliability or increase the danger of explosions.

WPC’s technology can be used to transfer several hundred watts with an efficiency of up to 95 % without any metallic contact. Patent for this technology is approved in Europe and applied for in all major markets in the rest of the world. In many products which require wireless transmission of power it is also desirable to implement wireless communication. WPC has the required competence to develop products with wireless transmission of both power and communication. Audio, video and high speed data can be transferred by using either RF or inductive transmission.
